What Is Fasting?

Fasting in its purest form is voluntary abstinence from all food and drink, with the exception of water. Fasting is any condition in which the body is encouraged to initiate the process of self – digestion. The body’s innate intelligence can distinguish fasting from starvation. During a fast, old cells and diseased tissue are decomposed and burned as the building of new, healthy cells are stimulated and sped up. The body has the ability to conserve its lean muscle mass by breaking down fats to fatty acids for energy and producing ketones instead of glucose for energy necessary to support the brain and other organs.
Is Fasting Safe?

Yes, it is the oldest method of healing and reconnecting individuals to the importance of self -discipline, temperance, commitment, patience, perseverance, accountability and responsibility.
